Throughout the years, massive investments have enabled Maestro to develop an extremely stable and powerful platform. While other developers have just added new interfaces to old technologies, Maestro has invested in emerging technologies. The difference is fundamental.
Founded in September 1989 by its president Robert Meunier (engineer), Maestro specializes in the development of high-performance accounting and management solutions for the construction industry. Our original concept was based on creating software that could satisfy the needs of construction sector business management. This was in complete contradiction to the approach of the time, which offered high-priced, customized development solutions. Maestro’s solutions rested on the vision that technology would become increasingly accessible.
Learn moreMaestro initially focused on the residential sector, then civil engineering firms, general contractors, service organizations, specialized contractors, concrete businesses and even manufacturing companies. By adapting to the specific needs of each industry sector, maestro* became the most comprehensive and flexible software on the Canadian market. Striving to help companies increase their performance and effectiveness, Maestro designed simple, adaptive and complete interfaces.
Maestro has extensively invested in emerging technologies. In the beginning, the solutions were developed on DOS—maestro* has since completely converted to Microsoft. If, at the beginning of the 1990s, construction companies used maestro* specifically for accounting, they’ve come to rely on solutions that have evolved into increasingly advanced applications. Driven by industry demand for more flexible and powerful systems, Maestro’s gradually integrated every operational aspect of a construction firm. In addition to accounting and project management, maestro* included project costing, specialized invoicing and contract management tools–on top of order management, inventory, attendance sheets, equipment, building site processes, contacts and documents.
Maestro moves towards the future by continuing their investments in integrating new technologies such as Visual Studio 2008, SharePoint, WPF and WCF in order to offer products that are at the cutting edge of technology.
Today, information exchanges with partners (banks, suppliers, customers, subcontractors, building site teams) are the newest challenge. It is not enough to just collaborate on an accounting level—the market now requires software solutions to improve collaboration between partners through real-time exchanges of relevant information, more effectiveness communication and flawless operational quality.
Learn moreThe integration of the entire operation into one multi-user, multi-business system creates a central collaboration tool for every stakeholder in a construction project. The business world changes continually. Demand for increasingly powerful systems is constant, so the work of programmers is a perpetual challenge of innovation and improvement. This requires significant creativity and in-depth understanding of the construction industry.
If our lives are inevitably transformed by the evolution of technology, how we manage businesses must constantly change. Because clients are, above all else, business partners, Maestro offers direct, personalized service on a human scale. For example, our support department can connect directly to a client’s system in real time to make quick and accurate updates.
At Maestro, technological developments are framed within a high level of quality control. Tomorrow’s technologies are at the heart of our work today—and every day. Thanks to a senior team of developers, programmers and integrators, Maestro has become a world leader in construction business management.
