Unlimited User Definable Fields
Maestro* provides the ability to customize the information to be entered on every data entry screen. There is no limit to the number of fields that you can add to your customer, supplier, project, contract, employee, and the many other data tables. User defined fields can be set to conform to very specific formats such as phone number, postal code, SIN number and more. These fields can be made mandatory to ensure that information is always entered before saving. Your user-defined fields are available in the report generator and the maestro* graphic form creator as soon as they are created. This feature is common throughout maestro* and works the same everywhere. Access to the custom field creator is controlled on a per user basis through the security module.
Electronic Document Management
Maestro* document management and scheduling solution helps you coordinate the many documents produced for each job. Exclusive to maestro*, our electronic document management module is fully integrated throughout all other modules. Drawings, site directives, meeting minutes, daily diaries and many other documents can be stored and organized within maestro*, creating a virtual job book that can be accessed from anywhere you can access maestro*. For example, a shop drawing linked to a requisition could be sent with an order. It will then be accessible from the requisition, order, project and even the related suppliers’ file. You can define custom document categories (using your own terminology) for projects, customers, suppliers, contracts, employees, etc. Help shield yourself against future claims by being able to reproduce all communications (e-mail, fax, etc.) and documents for your projects, even if the project manager is no longer with your team. Maestro* is the only software to offer this level of project management and collaboration in a fully integrated ERP software solution.
Individual User Screen Preferences
Users can customize their own screens by changing a few simple parameters. Hide fields that are not relevant or add all the custom fields needed to capture the information unique to your organization. Custom fields will be part of each transaction and will be immediately available for the reports and drill-down functions.
Customizable Form Generator
Design high quality documents complete with graphics, colours, fonts, and shading. Eliminate printed forms along with the cost of design and storage! Change your forms as required without having to wait for stock to deplete. Save your business logo in your company setup and it is immediately available to be printed on all of your forms.
Easy one-step Excel Import/Export
Although maestro* has gone to great lengths to ensure that spreadsheets are no-longer a business management requirement, we respect the fact that users still feel more comfortable knowing that they have access to this tool. Maestro* offers one-click access to Microsoft Excel virtually everywhere throughout our application. Information transferred to Excel through maestro* is preformatted and ready to be used (numbers are numbers, dates are dates and so on). Year-end details can be easily provided to your auditors in Excel format. Whatever your needs, accessing details from within maestro* is as easy as a point and click.
Pivotal Data Technology
Unique to maestro*, pivotal data technology allows even a novice computer operator to become an expert. With just a few clicks of the mouse you will be able to locate, assemble and organize information according to your own criteria.
Hypertext Search
A powerful search engine allows you to search or filter maestro* data grids with a simple click of the mouse. No need to manually search through screens and reports, Maestro* will find it for you.
Powerful Report/Form Viewer
Everything printed from maestro* can be displayed on your screen in maestro*’s advanced report/form viewer. Instantly search reports using our powerful, built-in hypertext search engine. Send your reports and forms through the Internet via email. Maestro* automatically generates a PDF document mirroring your report or form and attaches it to your email message. Your recipients will receive an “exact” copy of the report or form that can be easily viewed using Adobe’sĀ® free industry standard viewer. With just a click, the viewer also allows you to export the reports to Excel. Your data will be formatted and ready to use. Exclusive to maestro*, our report/form viewer even allows you to select groups and columns for viewing or change the sorting order in real-time. This feature is available even for standard system reports.
WEB XML Interface
Maestro*’s exclusive XML web server interface allows maestro* to work with other application vendors to seamlessly interface with their specialized solutions. You can work with your own internet provider to create interactive web pages for your employees, clients and vendors, which draw information from maestro*’s database. Our XML interface is not just a one-way street. It contains functions for updating maestro*’s database that can be accessed through your own web applications. All interactions are tied to maestro*’s security to ensure that the integrity of your information is maintained and protected. XML integration is reliable and robust because either side of the integration can be changed without affecting the interface.
ODBC (SQL Server)
Maestro* utilizes an industry standard SQL database that allows for ODBC access from third party applications such as Crystal ReportsĀ®, MS-Access and MS-Excel.

Our database engine is one of the most robust on the market and is capable of handling installations serving up to 1000 users.
Advanced Security System
The security system embedded within maestro* provides very elaborate user control and tracking. You have detailed control over what users have access to. You can also use the activity-tracking feature, on selected users, in order to track their activities within maestro*’s environment. Maestro* can even control access to information by groups and types. For example, you give access to employee information for time entry while restricting access to salaries.
Cascading Data Drill Down
The data drill-down concept is available throughout all of maestro*’s modules. Effortlessly inquire in real-time on the details of virtually any information in any data grid throughout maestro*. Double-click on a value to reveal the transactions that it represents. Double-click on a value in the new list to drill further into the details. You can continue this process until you reach the lowest level of transactions or change direction to follow a different line of transactions. It is a pivotal drill-down that is not limited to a single level or direction.

The maestro* report generators are powerful tools that will allow you to create a wide range of reports from the simplest listings to the most sophisticated analysis.
User Customizable Grid Technology
Maestro* utilizes Excel-like data grids to simplify your data entry. Columns can be switched on/off, re-ordered and included/excluded from search and filter functions. Common windows features such as cut & paste, print preview and export to Excel have been integrated throughout maestro*.
Internal/External Integrated Communications Management
Today’s world is all about communication, but the organization of communications is a growing problem. Maestro* has established a simple and efficient way to manage communication between users allowing them to exchange any information contained in maestro* with recall dates and an integrated schedule. This module is thoroughly linked to maestro*’s Document Management module.
Integration with other applications via Internet
Maestro*’s integrated XML option allows third-party software companies and customers’ in-house technology experts to extend the functionality of maestro* beyond its boundaries. The XML functionality allows you to integrate with other products via a function call interface. This interface can be accessed via Internet using maestro*’s web services. Examples of existing interfaces include Maestro/Marcotte ready-mix batching interface, Maestro/WinTick aggregate ticketing interface, Maestro/APEX mobile service and work orders as well as Maestro/Project estimating interface.
